God wants you to be a winner, not a whiner.
-Joel Osteen

You were born to win.
You must have heard this sentence a thousand times in your life. But in actual life, we see its opposite in effect. You are a godchild. God created you in his image and gave you all his powers so that you may not lose in your life.
If you do not believe that there is a God; that you are somehow related to a god or a superpower, who loves you and is always with you in your life, then you must first go and learn about it, because without this knowledge you may have a difficult time achieving enduring success.
“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience”, said Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.
You are a spiritual being created in the image of God, who is perfect and omnipotent. You are invested with divine potential. With God, all things are possible. Since you are a godchild, you are blessed by certain endowments and talents to help you succeed in life.
The best and one of the most important gifts he has given you is the gift of Choice. You can choose your path to success. Nobody can take away this gift from you.
It is your own choice that you don’t exercise this ability to choose in life and follow destructive influences to lose the ability to choose. He always expects you to succeed in life, and he always extends his best hand to you for helping you to succeed in life.
Once there lived a very committed devotee of Lord Shiva in a Village. The village was once flooded. First, a Jeep came and carried people to safe places, but this devotee wouldn’t go saying, “God will come for me.”
The water level increased and then the devotee climbed to the second floor. A boat came and carried the people to safe places. The devotee again didn’t go telling that God would come for him. When the water level climbed up to the roof, a helicopter came and carried the remaining people.
The village submerged in water. The devotee didn’t go and finally drowned, died and met his God after death. Upbraided he asked the God complainingly,” why didn’t you come to save me. I had worshipped you my whole life, and when I needed you most, you didn’t come to save me.” God laughed and told him, “didn’t I send first a Jeep, then a boat and finally a helicopter.”
So the point is that God helps them who help themselves. God comes to hungry people in the form of food. God will never come to help you in a form that you want him in. But he will always be helping you.
There is another good story;
Once a man had a dream that he was with God and was traveling in the sky. Concurrently on a screen, his past life scenes were being shown to him by God. He could see his entire life journey with God and also two separate footprints all along the path where God was with him, in the film.
God told him that he was all along with him, and hence everywhere two footprints were seen on the screen. However, the man was not convinced. He asked himself, “How come that God was with me, and I could not do anything worthwhile on the earth. When I had failed in my business and had lost everything where was God then.” Then suddenly he found on the screen that at some places there was only one footprint. He blurted, “What about these single footprints my Lord, were you not with me at these times in my life when I was most troubled and down and needed you most.” The God said smilingly to him, “My dear son, how can it be that I was not with you. Actually, these were your most troubled times in life, and I had lifted you in my hands because you were almost dead and could not walk at these times. These single footprints are mine, not yours”.
So whenever you feel tumbled, floundered and down in the mouth by failures, imagine yourself lifted in the hands of God. And believe, with God, everything is possible. So think big, get up once more, dream big and achieve big. Your creator is always with you.
Most people do not realize this fact that God has a plan for every one of us to succeed and be, do or have whatever we want to.
When you start believing this, your life takes a different turn, and all good things start happening to you. You start working for your dreams with all your might and work becomes play for you. The battles of your day to day life become trifling for you.
The reality is that this life is tough and challenging, and to live it, you have to be tough, tough towards yourself. There are some battles which you fight without, but the greatest battle you have to fight, every day, is within you. Sir Edmund Hillary after the conquest of Mount Everest said, “It is not the mountains we conquer but ourselves”
The greatest enemy you have to fight daily is your mind, which keeps wandering around. This mind is like a chameleon and changes color every moment; you have to fight it every second; it deviates you from the path envisaged by your true self. The colors of the worldly mind are different from those of your true self. Your true self wants you to succeed in realizing your dreams and wants to bring all happiness to you, but your mind or worldly colors want you to remain in your comfort zone. The result is a feud between the two, every moment in your life; you get two choices which one you follow again depends on you and that only decides your success or failure.
You are the master, the commander of your life. You have to fight the side that is out there and within you.
The fight of two Wolves within you
Man is a creature that has all the qualities which make a character. The qualities you feed more will be developed more, and those you starve will be developed less. It is up to you to practice these qualities daily in your life.
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life:
“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy.
“It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One is evil–he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.”
He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you–and inside every other person, too.”
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
So there are two wolves. Be careful that you don’t feed the wrong wolf.
Each human being is a unique creation of God. Therefore each has different divine gifts and different talents to help him succeed in life.
Each person has a gift of the ability to choose a path that would allow a person to succeed or choose a path of failure.
Humankind’s mission is to succeed and prosper in each of the components that make up the human soul.
It requires every one of us that we believe in our God and ourselves and always keep in mind that we are offspring of God and he is always with us to help us in our every endeavor as per his plan. There is nothing which can stop us from forging ahead in our life except us.
